Well they do tend to roll around with increasing rapidity.
I've just passed another and I have decided to remain my previous age for about the next 5 years. I hope I can get away with it!!
I do however enjoy celebrating, especially with my family, and that is just what we did.
A lovely evening at the T Spoon Eatery in Belmont.
This is a tiny licensed cafe in a former corner milk bar.
We cleverly chose to share two anti pasto platters between the eight of us and sampled such perfect little tastes as tuna tartare, truffled rice cakes, cuttlefish salad and Asian style steamed dumplings.
Main courses were chosen from a small but interesting list, mine being roast duck. Also on were Marlin on a nicoise base of mainly green beans, Rabbit rolled and stuffed and served on chick peas and a great Goats cheese and broad bean pie. Bowls of baby asparagus finished the course.
Desserts were also hard to choose so we shared again. Two serves of the most exquisite creamy but tangy lemon tart went down well. The tasting platter served on old fashioned cake stand were cute little bite sized tarts and a variety of tasty morsels
All I can say is that I love Birthdays but refuse to add numbers!!
