We mellowed out on Monday with a little drive to Portarlington. Lunched by the water on yummy bits from the bakery.
We drove across the peninsular to Ocean Grove and thence to Barwon Heads where we showed friend from Sydney, Elisabeth, the view from the Bluff. We journeyed along the cliff tops past 13th beach to where the
Hooded Plovers hang out on the beach.
Unfortunately some cretinous people had recently walked their dogs along the beach in the direction of the bird sites, despite huge notices asking for dogs not to be taken there. I don't know if this is why, but we didn't see any of the small birds.
I did take some great photos though, including what I insist are the plover tracks in the sand
and the full moon in a silvery sky.
