There has been some creative activity lately, just not appearing here, so to update -
I joined in an Artist's Postcard "Frenzy" on one of my groups. You make several (or many) cards and then on the designated Frenzy day post them on the group site. You then check out everyone else's lovely work and if you like something you ask to swap. They then look at what you have put up and choose what they'd like in return.
It is possible to reject a swap if there's nothing of the swappee's stuff you like, but I think the protocol is to be delighted that they like yours and choose something anyway.
I have had no trouble choosing things I like so far and have had some gorgeous cards coming in the mail.
Here's what I sent this time.
I have also done a paper backgrounds swap with the Collage Unleashed group.
This one is a first swap with this group although I've belonged to it for ages.
It relates to the book by Traci Bautista called "Collage Unleashed" which I have.We had to make 24 pages for backgrounds using techniques from her book.
I spread myself out on the dining room table and painted backgrounds then smooshed paint around using an old credit card to scrape it across the page. I then did various spatterings and other dry brushed embellishments. I hope I haven't made them to hard to work over, as they are intended to end up as journal pages.
I can't wait to get the set back and see what other people have done - it is always a bit scary doing one of these swaps for the first time when you haven't a clue what might be the end result.
Pics show front and back of each set that I did. I did them in larger sheets and then cut them to the finished 8x10 inches size. Bright aren't they!!!
