I have been doing some creative work. Really I have!!!
Just haven't got around to either photograph or scan it or to blog about it. Now a whole heap will be revealed at once.
First the Emb Guild Creative Fibres group.
We do a different technique each month.
Solvy work. Using a dissolvable "cloth" you free machine embroider and then dissolve away the background in water leaving only the threads. They are slightly stiffened so hold a lovely shape.
I plan some earings with the little leaves and the larger rectangle will adorn a page in the fibre book we are each making to show off our work.
Shiva Paint stick rubbings.
These are an oil paint in a stick. We rubbed them over various textures and I will be using these on a book page.
The next one was Paper Clay and paper tissue. Impressions were made in the clay or layers of tissue gently brushed into a shape like a stamp or a shell. When dry they are painted. I like the bluey flower one and think that this might go on the front cover of the book.
