I've finished my tags. We made them in our Creative Fibres Group out of swing tags from clothing.
Gesso to surface them then an Impasto layer.
We imprinted this layer with all sorts of objects. Mine were done with a plastic fly swat (the cobwebby shaped ones) and a small potato masher with circular holes (this gave lovely scaley patterns)
I also did a couple using a palette knife in swirls.
We used acrylic paints in lots of layers allowing some of each layer to shine through. Finishes I then used were Lumiere powders and paints, twinkling H2O's and Shiva paint sticks.
My stash of fibres yielded a great selection to add to the tags and it was fun matching up the colour combinations to the tags.
Not sure what they are to be used for, I may use a couple on my creative fibres sample book (if it ever gets off the ground - I have cut out the black felt pages so I guess that is a start!)
